Lutzka's Choice pays off

Rob Dyrdek graciously let Greg Lutzka out of his Street League contract in order to compete in the Maloof Money Cup since, "It was obvious he was never going to win" a Street League Event.

Lutzka made the most of that choice by winning a record $160,000 purse, edging out Dennis Busenitz in the final head to head match of the finals in the NYC Maloof Money Cup event in Queens, NY.

Lutzka and Busenitz were joined by among others, brand-spanking new pros Cory Kennedy, Nick Merlino, and number one qualifier Collin Provost.


Pro-Tec Pool Party Results

Vans, Pro-Tec, and Rockstar Energy Drink hosted the premiere bowl riding contest of the year at the Vans skatepark in Orange, CA..

With last year's two-time champ Bucky Lasek out with a broken ankle, Pedro Barros stepped up and beat past winners and favorites such as Omar Hassan and Rune Glifberg in the pro division.

Chris Miller bounced back to win his sixth (of seven) masters titles beating a trio of former Bones Brigade teammates, Steve Caballero, Lance Mountain, and first time Pool Party competitor Tony Hawk.


Theotis Beasley goes Pro

At the 2011 Transworld Awards, Theotis Beasley was brought on stage with Baker boss Andrew Reynolds to present the Rookie of the Year award to Vincent Alvarez.

Andrew pulled Theotis' new pro model out of the podium while their Baker and Death Wish teammates rushed the stage.


Street League Seattle Results

Rob Dyrdek's Street League kicked off this weekend in Seattle, WA.

Winning the first stop with an impressive performance, including the highest scored single trick yet was Nyjah Huston. This was Nyjah's first win since re-joining Element.

With the Pro-Tec Pool Party coming up this month, out Skater of the Month is none other than back-to-back defending champ, Bucky Lasek.

Skating since the age of twelve and having ridden for such companies as Powell-Peralta, Birdhouse and Element, Bucky is widely considered one of the most consistent and innovative vert skaters around. He also has the ultimate playground in his back yard, a massive concrete bowl.
